member Kent Blaxill & Co Ltd is the latest company to
choose Chatsworth Computers’ Merlin Business Software as
its preferred software solution.
Established in 1838 and
trading from 8 locations, Kent Blaxill is one of East
Anglia’s largest builders’ merchants. They offer a wide
range of products to the building trade including
building materials, timber, ironmongery, tools,
landscaping, paint and decorating materials, glass and
glazing products, and kitchens and bathrooms.
Having decided in 2009
that the existing system was no longer meeting the needs
of the business, Kent Blaxill started the process of
evaluating business software. Having such diverse
operation needs - ranging from traditional trade counter
and sales office to tool hire, glazed unit manufacturing
and contract glazing installations - this was not going
to be a quick or easy decision to make.
The management team at
Kent Blaxill spent several months investigating the
software solutions for builders’ merchants and, in
January 2010, after an in-depth evaluation of the
software and having visited several other Merlin users,
Kent Blaxill decided Merlin was the solution that best
met its requirements and placed their order with
Chatsworth.
Kent Blaxill identified
significant immediate benefits in implementing Merlin
and recognised Chatsworth as a software house with which
they wanted to work.
